Wow! I don’t know what else to say. I have never seen the movie version of this with Matthew Broderick, and I had no clue what it was about but I was blown away by this. The first half was basically the introduction of the plot and the main characters, and I thought it was a bit slow but the second half made the whole show!
It was charming, delightful and hilarious! The main actors made it all so believable.

Based on Mel Brooks’ much loved Academy Award-winning movie, The Producers is a hilarious musical comedy that has taken Broadway and the West End by storm, winning a record-breaking 12 Tony Awards and 3 Olivier Awards. Impoverished by a string of flops, New York producer Max Bialystock recruits timid accountant Leo Bloom to help him pull off Broadway’s greatest scam. They aim to produce the worst show ever and run away with millions, but they soon learn that show business can kick you in the teeth.
Here are a few snippets of the actors in The Producers UK tour taken from the booklet bought after the show in Sunderland Empire Theatre.
I am not a person who is exceptionally experienced in the world of theatres or musicals but this was definitely quite an experience and certainly, will tickle your funny bones. In short, it was god damn hilarious!
I have to give a huge credit to Sunderland Empire Theatre, it truly is an amazing place with dedicated and friendly staff to assist the crowd.
