Goodness me, where to even begin! As you know I’m Courtney, a proud Eurasian residing in Newcastle Upon Tyne in the UK with a massive love for exploring, food, animals as they soothe your soul, photography as this brings me joy to see people get excited over a lovely picture, hunting great deals cause deals are fun!
What is Eurasian?
It’s a term for half European and half Asian heritage and I’m proud of it. You can say I am a third culture kid. Born in Indonesia, went to an international school, lived in Singapore and for now in the UK. I never felt I belong anywhere yet comfortable everywhere as well. I’ve been exposed to a variety of cultures, backgrounds and religion, and always learning more!
My love for travel stems from my parents and have with them traveled most of the world since I was one year old and I am forever grateful. My style of travel is to try and explore the city or country as a local and showcase the best of what the city has to offer. Experience their cultural heritage and of course, taste their traditional food!
So far, I have traveled to over 35 countries including Malta, Kenya, Australia, Syria, Iceland and so on; I’m determined the list will continue.
What’s WhatsupCourtney about?
Whatsupcourtney is a luxury travel, food, and lifestyle blog focusing on providing its readers with actionable travel itineraries and inspiring to visit the places that I have been, mixed with places to eat, international recipes, hotel & product reviews, lifestyle updates and more.
Blended with a mix of storytelling and photography, my goal is to provide an exciting and honest insider knowledge to readers whilst showcasing the country’s culture and heritage. I have previously worked with Visit Flanders, Visit Leuven, and BMI Regional.
Be warned! I have a huge love of food, I will share recipes and restaurants reviews I have visited within the U.K and the world. While I am not traveling, an insight to Newcastle Upon Tyne, the city I currently reside in the U.K, an array of guide to cities around the UK, and reviews of products!
I will be delighted if I know my blog have inspired someone to travel or to try something new in their life! Because life is about positivity, excitement and experiencing new things. I hear it’s good for the soul, don’t you agree?
