Leuven will defy your expectations around every turn you’re there, it is charming, friendly with culture and brilliant beer. I recently visited Leuven and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, and one of my highlights was staying at Pentahotel Leuven. When you’re looking for a place to stay, the location is usually of high importance, at least for me.
Pentahotel is a stylish and relaxed affair. Situated in the heart of Leuven, I found myself within walking distance of all the top attractions such as Stadhuis (Town Hall), M Museum, Grote Markt (Town Square) and Oude Markt (the Long bar).

Inside the reception area at the Pentahotel Leuven
As you walk in, I stood there in amazement, this is not your ordinary hotel. You are greeted with a fully stocked bar which doubles up as your reception area. A contemporary fireplace to your right and to your left, a welcoming lounge area complete with a pool table and bookshelves which reminds me of an English retro style. Not only a hotel but also a bar or a club during the evening, pretty convenient if you fancy a drink and not wanting to walk far.

Inside the Pentahotel room
The room had all the trimmings I have come to expect. It had a classic style that was refreshing to return home after a long day of exploring the city.
The floor to ceiling windows around the room is one of the most striking features of the room with good curtains; they blocked the light very well in the morning! The room comes with a little seating area with a complimentary bottle of water. Of course, you get the essentials such as hairdryer, free wifi, refrigerator, television (with sport and movie channels), and most importantly, the room has a lot of plugs – 2 on each side of the bed and a couple by the desk!
Their bathroom is a dream, with walk-in rain showers which I wish to take home with me and complimentary amenity kit which includes body wash and lotion.

Breakfast at the Pentahotel Leuven
For breakfast, there is a buffet offering a variety of pastries, fruits, yogurt, the traditional sausages and eggs and an assortment of cereal with a selection of juices, coffee, and tea. If you’re like me, go for the waffles with maple syrup. Since you’re on holiday, why not a glass of prosecco as well! Yes, they do serve prosecco during breakfast!

Sights nearby the Pentahotel Leuven
As you step out of the Pentahotel, on your right lies Muntstraat, a street filled with restaurants from burgers to sushi to Italian with outdoor seating areas. Stadhuis (Town hall) and Grote Markt lie in the heart of Leuven, and the Pentahotel is approximately 0.17 miles away.
Nearby to Stadhuis is the Oude Markt or known as the longest bar in Europe. Other key attractions also include the M-Museum and University Library which are all equally nearby. Oh and don’t forget that on Friday, the weekly market is held in the Grote Markt and the surrounding streets.
And if you are new to Leuven in Belgium, you definitely need to visit the sights and explore this beautiful city.
Disclaimer: I was welcomed to the Pentahotel Leuven as a guest with Visit Leuven and Visit Flanders. And as always, my opinions and photographs are always my own and based on my own experiences.

Hey! I’m Courtney, I set out to create a blog that brings a whole lot of adventure to our readers. Instead of the traditional influencer and Instagram travels that you normally would see, I am trying instead, to show you the real, raw, and exotic side of travel and a whole lots of food that goes with it. Because I believe food is part of the country culture and needs to be tried and shown proudly.

I stayed with friends when I visited Belgium so I didn’t do a hotel, but I have seen the inside of some when I visited throughout the country and they seem pretty nice. This looks like a nice spot for a night.
Really nice and interesting review of this hotel. After reading your post about Leuven, I was curious to learn more about which hotel you stayed and how far from the city centre, because for me personally location is everything :D.
It is always very nice and relaxing to read your posts, and I can’t wait to read more of your “adventures”!
